PrivacyTerms of useCookies

This policy explains what ZovelyHub records, why it is recorded, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers both the ZovelyHub television application and this website.

1.Who is responsible

ShareHub ApS is the data controller. Write to support@zovelyhub.com about anything on this page, or to security@zovelyhub.com to report a security problem.

2.What we do not do

It is shorter to start here, because it removes most of what people expect to find in a policy like this one.

  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
  • It loads no fonts, scripts, tags or images from anyone else's servers, so no third party learns that you visited it.
  • We do not profile you, advertise to you, or build an audience from what you watch.
  • We do not sell, rent or share personal data for anyone else's marketing.
  • We never see the channels, films or series inside your playlist as viewing history for sale — what is stored is described in clause 3 and exists to make the application work.

3.What we hold, and why

Your television

A public device identifier, platform, model, operating system, app version and registration time, so the application can be licensed to one television and supported when something goes wrong. Registration also sends our support team a notification containing those values. It contains no IP address and no provider credentials.

Trial history

A free trial is available once per television. With your agreement on the TV, we store a one-way hash of the device identifier so the original trial dates survive a reinstall. The original device identifier is not sent to our server, and the hash alone cannot restore access to an account: recovery needs a saved credential or a confirmation of ownership. Trial history is kept separately from installation data and is not deleted when you uninstall the application.

Your playlists

Playlist configuration and catalogue data, and the credentials your provider issued you. Credentials are encrypted in storage and are never displayed back to anyone — not on this site, not on the television, and not to our support team.

What you do in the app

Favourites, settings and watch progress, so your television is in the state you left it in.

Payments

The email address you give at checkout, the public device identifier and the validity of the activation, so we can send you a confirmation. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own page and never reach us. Payment records are kept for accounting and support.

Support and security

Correspondence you send us, private support notes, and operational and security records used to diagnose errors and prevent abuse. For support diagnostics we retain the last public IP address seen from an authenticated device for up to 30 days after it was recorded; inactive addresses are removed automatically. The administration panel shows an approximate country derived from a local database — your IP address is not sent to an external geolocation service, and a VPN or proxy will change the estimate.

4.Why we are allowed to hold it

Device registration, licensing, playlists, favourites, settings, watch progress and payment handling are processed to perform the contract you entered into when you activated ZovelyHub (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Payment and accounting records are also kept to meet a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). Trial history, security records and the short-lived IP retention rest on our legitimate interest in providing support and preventing abuse of a one-per-television free trial (Article 6(1)(f)). The hashed-identifier record is created with your agreement on the television.

5.Playback, and what your provider sees

When you play something, the television receives a short-lived playback response containing the source address. That address may include your provider credentials, because that is how the provider's own service authenticates. It is not written into the catalogue stored on the television. Your content provider receives the playback request and sees it as their own customer connecting.

Where a compatibility or subtitle fallback is needed, our server may fetch and convert the stream you selected so the television can play it. That happens for the item you asked for, while you are watching it.

6.Who else processes it

Our hosting provider runs the service. Our payment provider processes the transaction and holds the card details we never receive. Our email provider, Resend, delivers registration notifications and payment confirmations; pending email content is retained for up to 30 days and removed once the sending service has accepted it. Each of these processes data only to provide its own service to us.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the transfer safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR. Ask us at support@zovelyhub.com for the current list of providers and the safeguards that apply to each.

7.How long we keep it

Device registration, licence, playlist, favourites, settings and watch progress data are kept while your television is registered. Payment and accounting records are kept for the period Danish accounting law requires. IP addresses are kept for up to 30 days. Trial history is kept so a trial cannot be restarted by reinstalling. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful for supporting you.

Uninstalling the television application does not delete server-side records. If you want them removed, ask us.

8.What you can ask for

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive it in a portable form. You can manage playlists, favourites and watch progress yourself in the application and on this website; for anything else, write to support@zovelyhub.com. We will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), or to the supervisory authority where you live.

9.Children

ZovelyHub is sold to adults and is not directed at children. The parental PIN is set on the television and protects the playlist folders you choose; we do not hold it in a form anyone at ShareHub ApS can read, and there is no master PIN and no support override.

10.Changes

When this policy changes, the review date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects what we do with your data, we will say so on this page rather than quietly re-date it.
